Maajaam opening
Creating a fermented wild food tasting menu
Metsik Toit hosted a tasting of wild fermented food at the official opening of the Maajaam technology farm. The opening took place as part of the Tartu2024 European Capital of Culture programme — Maajaam featured in Tartu2024's main programme with the open-air exhibition Wild Bits, whose wild spirit aligned very naturally with our own. We offered guests flavour experiences made from wild plants, such as dandelion kimchi, wild garlic sauerkraut, nettle hot sauce, spruce shoot pesto, miso butter, fermented willowherb cold brew, and more.
